Do I need to apply for a permit?

Thank you for considering holding your event in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Whether it’s a festival, holiday celebration, walk/marathon, ceremony, party, or filming the City’s parks, streets and beach are ready for you.

Use our handy flowchart to find out if you need a permit and then submit the appropriate application.

If you answered YES to any of the questions above, depending on the nature of your event  please submit one of the following applications to provide us with more information:

The fee for a Beach Event Permit is $180.  For larger beach events other fees may be applicable.  Events on Carmel Beach can only be held on Scenic south of 10th Avenue.
