Sign up for Beanstack

We have Summer Reading challenges for all ages! We will be using Beanstack, an online program or download the app called Beanstack Tracker to help you keep track of your reading time and activities. Signup now!

Kids Summer Reading (ages 0-14)

Read as many days as you can during summer break. But don’t worry, it’s only for 15 minutes a day and if you want to read longer, feel free!

1. Read for at least 15 minutes a day. Reading includes books, audiobooks, reading to pets, bedtime stories and more! And you can always read for longer. 

2. Track your progress using Beanstack or print your own Kid's Summer Reading log here. You can also make your very own calendar. 

3. Read as many days as you can! 

Teen Summer Reading & Activities (ages 13-18)

This year’s teen summer reading includes a variety of activities. We ask that you complete at least 1 activity from 4 different sections. Of course you can try to finish all the activities too!

1. Complete any of the activities.

2. Track your progress using Beanstack.

3. Do at least 1 activity from 4 different sections to finish challenge.

Adult Summer Reading (ages 18 and up)

This year’s adult summer reading includes a variety of activities. We ask that you complete at least 1 activity from 4 different sections. You are welcome to complete all the activities as well. 

1. Complete any of the activities.

2. Track your progress using Beanstack or print your own Adult Summer Reading log here.

3. Do at least 1 activity from 4 different sections to finish challenge.

Book Donations for Kids & Teens

This summer we are accepting new and gently used books for kids and teens. All donated items will go to Monterey County Kinship Center. Please donate items at out Outside Library on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10am – 4pm. Donate Kids & Teen Books
