GLBTQ+ Pride Month Lecture by Steve Stratton

Mr. Stratton’s lecture will cover the brief history of the HIV pandemic and how it compares to the COVID-19 pandemic. He will review current numbers of affected people in the US, Ventura County, and the world, noting the fact that 40 years on, the pandemic is still going on.

Steve Stratton is the Collections and Program Development Librarian at CSUCI. He is a longtime volunteer in HIV/AIDS nonprofits and is currently a member of the HIV/AIDS Coalition of Ventura County. He is also the author of the Encyclopedia of HIV and AIDS, 3rd edition (Facts on File Press 2012)
