Conglomerate Paving Project Update

The Conglomerate Paving Project, which includes street paving work, select sidewalk repairs, ADA ramps, and asphalt concrete (AC) berm repairs, began on November 12.

Completed AC Overlay Paving Work:

Ocean Avenue between Highway 1 and Carpenter Street

Ocean and San Antonio Avenues Intersection: 4 ADA Ramps are completed

10th Avenue between Mission Street and Junipero Street

6th Avenue between Guadalupe Street and Carpenter Street

Torres Street between 2nd Avenue and 4th Avenue 

Ocean and San Antonio Avenues Intersection: Street Reconstruction (Demo existing concrete pavement and replace with AC)

San Antonio Avenue (4th Ave to Ocean Ave): AC Overlay

San Antonio Avenue (Ocean Ave to 11th Ave): AC Overlay

Completed Dig-Out and Berm Work (In preparation for the Micro-surfacing this April/May):

Perry Newberry Way (4th Avenue to 6th Avenue)

Lobos Street (1st Avenue to 2nd Avenue)

Guadalupe Street (2nd Avenue to 3rd Avenue)

Guadalupe Street (5th Avenue to 6th Avenue)

Torres Street (2nd Ave and 3rd Ave): Raising Irons and AC Berm

Current Work: January 1/20-1/23

11th Ave (San Antonio Avenue to Carmelo Street): AC Overlay

Upcoming Work: (Weather Permitting)

January 26-30: Mill and Pave, Raising Iron and Berm Work

Santa Lucia Ave (Junipero St. to Dolores St.): Mill and Pave (1/26-1/27)

  • Please note that during the milling and paving work along Santa Lucia, access will be restricted to local residents and emergency vehicles only. Residents are strongly encouraged to park on nearby streets, especially on January 27, 2026, when the asphalt concrete (AC) work is scheduled.
  • Please expect traffic delays during the construction operation.

San Antonio Avenue (Ocean Ave to 11th Ave): Raising Iron and Berm Work

February 2-5: Dig outs and Patch Work

Updates to the schedule, work sites, potential weather-related delays, and a map of all paving areas will be posted on the City website.
