Author Talk: Geraldine Brooks
PBS Books is delighted to host this virtual event celebrating the 2022 Library of Congress National Book Festival with Geraldine Brooks, author of “Horse: a novel.”
Australian-born Geraldine Brooks grew up in Sydney. She was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in fiction in2006 for her second novel, “March.” Her novels “Caleb’s Crossing” and “People of the Book” were New York Times bestsellers. Brooks worked as a reporter for The Sydney Morning Herald and The Wall Street Journal, where she covered crises in the Middle East, Africa and the Balkans. Her first novel, “Year of Wonders,” is an international bestseller, translated into more than 25 languages and currently under option to the actor Olivia Coleman. Brooks’ latest work, “Horse: A Novel,” is featured at the 2022 National Book Festival.
