“Saving Your Family History”

Do you have photos stuffed in boxes, scrapbooks in attics or videotapes in closets? Want to save your family history for the next generation to enjoy? Join librarian and archivist Katie O’Connell to learn how to organize your family papers, care for photographs and scrapbooks, digitize videotapes, and manage your digital files. Learn about proper handling of your treasures and how to store them so they’ll last. Katie O’Connell is the Local History Librarian for the Harrison Memorial Library and has worked as an archivist for the last 8 years. She holds a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science.
