Your submission will be routed to City staff for review during normal business hours Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and will be followed-up on within 7 business days.

Michael Martinez started playing piano at age 11 and soon thereafter began composing captivating melodies. At age 13, Michael became the protégé of acclaimed New Age pianist Jonathon Lee. In 2004, Michael took over Lee’s position as The Grand Piano Man for the Big Sur International Marathon. Michael’s style blends New Age and Classical, and has been described as heartfelt, cinematic and reflective.

Big Sur branch library is closed until further notice due to the Rocky Creek slide closure of Highway 1.

Homecrafter’s Marketplace Jury
Are you an artist or crafter? The City of Carmel-by-the-Sea invites you to jury for the upcoming 53rd Homecrafters’ Marketplace.
The Selection Committee will jury new and returning vendors’ crafts on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at the Carmel Woman’s Club between the hours of 10:00 am and 6:00 pm, no appointment is necessary.
