Minor Service Disruption May 3-5
Coming May 6, 2026, Carmel Public Library, Pacific Grove Public Library, and Monterey Public Library are excited to introduce a shared catalog and courier service, expanding access to materials across all three locations.
While we shift to the shared catalog, you may see some service disruptions Sunday, May 3, through Tuesday, May 5.
What to Expect
- Both Libraries Open: Both Harrison Memorial and Park Branch Libraries will be open their normal hours of 10am-6pm, Monday through Friday, and all programs will continue as planned.
- Check Out Items: You can still check out all library materials. Make sure to bring your library card!
- Access E-Books and More: You’ll be able to access Libby, Kanopy, and the Palace app.
- No Check-In: Items returned May 2-5 will be checked in on May 6. Don’t worry, there are no late fines!
- No Library Account Access: From May 3-5, you won’t be able to log in to your library account or place new holds on library items.
Starting May 6!
- Browse and borrow materials from all three libraries
- Place holds in a shared catalog (same web address)
- Pick up and return items at your preferred location
