Deadline exended for the Historic Resources Board
Submit an application by May 2, 2025, at 5 p.m.
The City of Carmel-by-the-Sea is seeking applications for the Historic Resources Board. Residents of Carmel-by-the-Sea OR Monterey County with experience or or a strong interest in one or more of the following areas may apply:
- History or local history
- Architecture or historic architecture
- Archaeology, anthropology, or paleontology
- Other related fields like planning, construction, geography, landscape architecture, urban design, ethnography, fine arts, or real estate
HISTORIC RESOURCES BOARD: (1 expiring term) 4-year term
- Implements policies on architectural, cultural, and historic preservation.
- Applicants must be residents of the City OR Monterey County, with an interest or expertise in historic preservation or architecture.
- Meets third Monday of each month at 4:00 p.m.

APPOINTMENT PROCESS:
Interviews with the Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem will take place in May (date TBD). Appointment recommendations will be made at a Council meeting in June.
