Downtown Conservation District Inventory of Historic Resources
In February 2019, the Community Planning & Building Department conducted an inventory of historic resources located within the Downtown Conservation District. A total of 43 historic resources were identified within the District. The inventory will help to inform potential changes to the District including design guidelines for non-historic structures located within the District.
Commercial Core Vacancy Study
In March 2019, the Community Planning & Building Department walked the commercial core to take inventory of the number of ground floor commercial spaces that were occupied and vacant. The data collected showed a 6% vacancy rate in the Village.
Design Study Approvals 2016-2018
At the March 13, 2019 Planning Commission meeting, Community Planning & Building Director Marc Wiener, AICP presented a slideshow of significant remodels and new construction projects approved by the Planning Commission between 2016 and 2018.
Permit Application Trends 2008-2018
The Community Planning & Building Department compiled data on Planning and Building permit application trends between 2008 and 2018. The number of building permits issued has doubled over the last 10 years and planning permits have increased over 50%.
