Resource Sharing with MPL & PGPL Starts May 6
Resource Sharing Coming May 6!
Carmel Public Library, Pacific Grove Public Library, and Monterey Public Library are excited to introduce a shared catalog and courier service, expanding access to materials across all three locations.
With this new service, your library card will give you access to a broader collection of books and movies, and more—while continuing to enjoy the services of your local library.
What’s New
- Browse and borrow materials from all three libraries
- Place holds through a shared catalog
- Pick up and return items at your preferred location
How It Works
- Search the shared catalog
- Place your item on hold
- Select your pickup location
- You’ll be notified when your item arrives
Good to Know
- No new library card is required
- Each library remains independently operated
- Certain items must be picked up and returned to their home library (such as American Girl Dolls at MPL and Cooking Tools at PGPL)
Three Libraries. One Shared Collection.
We invite you to explore, discover, and enjoy expanded access made possible through the support of the Cities of Pacific Grove, Monterey, and Carmel-by-the-Sea.
More Info to Come
As we get closer to the May 6 go-live date, we’ll be sharing more information on what to expect.
As always, Library Staff is happy to answer any questions you may have.
