Kids learn how a turntable transforms electrical energy into sound by vibrating the needle through the grooves of a spinning record, then explore that sound by switching speeds to hear funny fast or slow versions. Later, as music plays, they create their own album art and “draw the music,” visualizing what they hear. They finish by matching sleeves to the correct records using artwork and label clues for a hands-on, creative science and music discovery activity. 

 This event is for ages 9-12 years old and has limited space.
