Hello and welcome to the Carmel-by-the-Sea Police Department. Our dedicated staff of professionals takes pride in providing our residents, businesses, and visitors the best service possible. As public servants we take our jobs seriously. Customer service is important to us and we desire to perform our duties in a manner that conveys care, sensitivity, and exceptional technical competence. If we don't have the answer to your question, or you are not sure what city department is normally assigned to the task, give me a call and we will figure it out by either dealing with it ourselves or referring you to the proper department.
My office is fervently committed to a vision of preserving the quality of life for everyone living, working, or visiting our town. To that end, we strive to facilitate community wide partnerships that seek to foster effective solutions to problems and issues in our community. Please pay particular attention to the parking regulations. Parking in Carmel-by-the-Sea is a precious resource. Time limitations are enforced out of respect for both the businesses and customers.
Finally, be particularly careful while driving in Carmel-by-the-Sea. We have many pedestrians walking throughout our community and some of our streets are quite narrow with posted speed limits at 15 miles per hour.
