Education:
Graduated from Sunset and Carmel High Schools, Stanford University with a B.A. in Political Science, the National War College and Leadership Monterey Peninsula; attended the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva Switzerland.
Personal History:
Sue's family has lived in Carmel since 1942. She was born in Hartford, Connecticut where her father taught at Trinity College. The family moved to Carmel during WWII when Sue's father joined the Navy and was the first line officer stationed at what is now the Naval Postgraduate School. Sue still lives in the house her parents had owned since the 1950's with her dog Robbie, a Dandie Dinmont terrier.
