Graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Masters of Arts in Earth Systems.
Jason was recently Managing Partner of Clean Fund, a company that works to structure and secure financing for renewable energy and energy efficiency projects, and founder of Burnett EcoEnergy. Previously Jason was the Associate Deputy Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency where he coordinated energy and climate change policy across the EPA and led the development of greenhouse gases regulations. Jason has also worked for a brokerage and consulting firm, Evolution Markets, where he assisted companies and government with the carbon market.
Jason was born at CHOMP, raised in Carmel Valley, attended York School and has also lived in Lummi Island, Washington, Palo Alto and Washington D.C. Jason and his wife Melissa "Mel" were thrilled to make Carmel-by-the-Sea their home in 2008.
