Special Events
The City of Carmel-by-the-Sea provides for the short-term use of municipal facilities and public property by groups and individuals. Facilities and public properties will be made available at no fee if the event is sponsored or cosponsored by the City. Co-sponsorship with community groups shall be determined on a case-by-case basis by the City Council. Activities may be conducted in or on public property subject to the permit process and criteria established herein.

HOMECRAFTERS'MARKETPLACE
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2012
The 42nd annual Homecrafters' Marketplace will be held at the Sunset Center parking lots on San Carlos between 9th and 10th Avenues on Saturday, November 17, 2012
All potential vendors must be juried. The jury application is below. Please read the form carefully and follow the instructions completely. All media must be hand-made by you, no production items are allowed. Jury process will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 9am to 3pm at the Vista Lobos Complex located on Torres between 3rd and 4th. A non-refundable jury fee of $25 is due at that time, along with a copy of a California Seller's Permit.
If you are selected as a vendor you will be sent a Seller's Contract, all booths are 10x10 and the booth fee is $150. You must also have a valid California Seller's Permit; you will be required to have a copy with your application. In addition, prepackaged food vendors are required to have a Health Permit - No Exceptions

The City is known for its white sand beach and luxuriant landscaped bluffs which are kept that way through the efforts of City staff and community volunteers who donate time regularly to keep the sand clean and free of litter and debris and maintain the landscaping. No smoking is allowed on the beach or the Beach Bluff Pathway. Additionally, fires are only allowed on the beach south of 10th Avenue, and only between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
